About 1947-1949 Lawrence Avenue WLexington on The Green Condos

Lexington on the Green has a lot of things going for it: these stacked Toronto townhouses are exceptionally safe, with round-the-clock security minding the gated community; its landscaped grounds are picturesque, including a central park complete with a gazebo. It’s no wonder, then, that this townhouse community received a nomination for best low-rise community from the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association.

Built in 2008 by Forest Green Homes, 38 and 38 Gibson is home to 153 units clad in brick and stucco. Landscaped walkways connect residents to their neighbours’ homes, as well as to a clubhouse containing a theatre, party room, gym, and lounge with patio. In addition to all that, the complex has a concierge to watch over the community, as well as underground parking.

    The Suites

By looking at the façade of 36 Gibson, prospective residents probably wouldn’t assume that there is much variation between the homes here. On the contrary, Toronto condos for sale here range considerably in size, starting at around 600 and reaching to approximately 1,400 square feet.

Homes within 36-38 Gibson Ave consist of one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, two bedroom, and three bedroom units. Many of the suites feature entrances in both the front and the back, and some contain generous terraces or patios.

    The Neighbourhood

The demographic at 36 Gibson tends to be quite young, although the townhouses attract those with and without kids. For the former, it’s helpful that there are plenty of schools in the York Crosstown Area, such as Weston Collegiate Institute, Weston Memorial Junior Public School, and HJ Alexander Community School.

Having a No Frills just on the east side of Jane is also quite convenient for residents living at Lexington on the Green. While having a car can be useful for large hauls, those who are just picking up a few things for dinner can walk just 6 minutes in order to reach this grocery store.

In terms of entertainment, there’s plenty to do in Weston. For one, exploring the parks along Black Creek and the Humber River is a great way to spend a day. When the weather isn’t as nice, on the other hand, all it takes to reach Yorkdale Mall is a quick drive on the 401.

While train station parking lots might not be so exciting in other neighbourhoods, the Weston Farmer’s Market happens to be held in the parking lot of the GO/UP Station at 1865 Weston Road. The market, which has been running for nearly 40 years, is open Saturdays from May through October.

    Transportation

Speaking of the Weston GO/UP Station, this terminal also comes in handy for residents travelling toward downtown Toronto or into neighbouring towns and cities. Located just 13 minutes away from 36 Gibson by foot, passengers starting their journeys from this station can reach Union Station in just 15 minutes, or Pearson International Airport in 12 minutes.

Another great option for exploring the city without using a car is the Lawrence bus, which carries passengers toward Lawrence West Station on the University-Spadina subway line.

Residents who drive will make great use of the 401, which happens to be situated just 5 minutes away from 36 Gibson. Once on this highway, residents can head west toward Etobicoke and Mississauga, or east toward North York, the Allen Expressway, and the Don Valley Parkway.
