About 761 Bay StreetCollege Park South Tower

Torontonians just can’t seem to get enough of the College Park Condos. In fact, buyers were so swept away with the College Park North Tower and College Park South Tower, that their developers had to go and make the final phase of the complex the tallest condo in Canada: Aura at College Park.

Located at 761 Bay Street in the Bay St. Corridor is the smallest — but not least important — structure of the three. The College Park South Tower was built in 2008, matches its sister building at 763 Bay. This particular building still rises high: 45 storeys high to be precise.

Even with its status as the most petite of the three, pedestrians looking up at the soaring aluminum and glass structure just know the views must be magnificent. Residents living at 761 Bay Street will be so enamoured with the vistas of the city below that they will forget some of their neighbours to the north have a slightly better vantage point.

With Canderel Stoneridge behind the development, and Graziani + Corazza Architects Inc. doing the design work, the College Park South Tower was in good hands. And even after being occupied it still is: a top-notch team safeguards the building, including a concierge and security.

But those aren’t the only perks of living at 761 Bay Street. Those living in the building can entertain themselves for days without even leaving the building. Inside the amenities complex known as the “Parkview Club”—18,000 square feet of space affixed to both towers—are a gym, yoga studio, lap pool, and hot tub, as well as ping pong, virtual golf, billiards, a theatre room, shared computers, a boardroom, garden, and sundeck. To top it all off, residents can grab groceries or take a ride on the subway without stepping foot outside, thanks to their direct access to College Park.

    The Suites

While the building is named for its historical neighbour — College Park — the suites at the College Park South Tower are anything but aged. Polished materials make these homes feel contemporary and sleek, such as marble, granite, and hardwood. Chapman Design Group is to thank for these modern interiors, and residents living at 761 Bay will be thankful every time they use their luxurious bathtubs or spacious breakfast bars.

Unfortunately, not all Toronto condos for sale at 761 Bay Street has access to a private balcony, however many buyers overlook this fact once they take a look at the floor-to-ceiling windows—and especially once they notice the views beyond them.

With 541 downtown Toronto condos in total, the homes range quite dramatically in size. The smallest units in this building are still slightly larger than their counterparts in the North Tower, sitting at a comfortable 500 square feet. And while the most spacious condos in the building aren’t quite as large as those at 763 Bay Street, they still reach to approximately 3,800 square feet.

    The Neighbourhood

The College Park South Tower is located in the centre of the downtown core, making everything from entertainment to wining and dining within close reach.

Speaking of dining, the food scene around 761 Bay Street is overwhelming to say the least — residents have their pick between Little Tokyo, Chinatown, and charming spots in historical buildings along Church Street. Even those prone to late night cravings are in luck, between the 24-hour Fran’s Restaurant on College Street and the Metro in College Park that never closes.

Weekend activities for those living in the College Park South Tower might include spending a sunny day exploring Kensington Market or Allan Gardens, or a rainy one sheltered by the shops of the Eaton Centre. Evening entertainment is also abundant, thanks to the Imagine Cinemas Carlton Cinema, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Pheonix Concert Theatre, and Ed Mirvish Theatre — all of which are within walking distance from 761 Bay.

    Transportation

While drivers are well situated for riding around town, thanks to its proximity to University Avenue, Jarvis Street, the Don Valley Parkway, and the Gardiner Expressway, the real impressive part is the direct access to the subway offered to residents.

Without stepping foot outside, residents can ride north and south on the Yonge subway line, with a transfer onto the Bloor-Danforth line only 7 minutes away.

Even Union Station can be reached in under 10 minutes, from which travelers can catch GO buses and trains, VIA Rail trains, and the UP service to Pearson International Airport. As a result, a trip to Pearson takes only 45 minutes without a car — and approximately 25 minutes with one.
