    Just west of Bayview Avenue at 600 Eglinton Avenue East are the La Costa Condos, a perfect spot for young families or professionals. The La Costa offers homes in a popular midtown Toronto neighbourhood: they're close to all the action, yet surrounded by quaint residential streets.

    Previously a mid-rise office tower, the La Costa has a distinct pink pastel façade with aquamarine accents, making the building resemble a Miami Beach hotel from the 1980s. The building was converted into condos in 1996, as demand for homes in midtown Toronto increased.

    The building has a great list of amenities for residents to get used to, especially for a building of its size. These include a gym, a party room, a conference room, and a parking garage.

    The Suites

    There are a total of 44 suites in the 4-storey La Costa Condos. These homes range in size from about 600 square feet to just under 1,000 square feet. Units come with 1 or 2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 bathrooms, and there are variations of floor plans that also include dens.

    Many of the suites feature balconies to relax on. These are also especially handy for those who want to make the most of Toronto’s brief yearly stint of good weather. 9-foot ceilings and tall, plentiful windows provide warmth and light to the well-laid-out spaces, while tiled entryways and kitchens plus hardwood floors in living spaces provide a cozier touch to these homes.

    All of the Toronto condos for sale at 600 Eglinton East also feature plenty of storage space tucked away behind sliding mirror doors. There are also 2 plazas just to the east of the La Costa Condos, one of which has a large grocery store and a liquor store

    A number of small parks like Sunnydene Park or Charlotte Maher Park are a short walk away from 600 Eglinton East, while huge green-spaces like Sherwood Park and Sunnybrook Park lie just to the north. Several schools also serve the neighbourhoods near the building, such as Leaside High School, Northern Secondary School, or Eglinton Junior Public School.

    Transportation

    The area around 600 Eglinton East is serviced by plenty of options for getting around, regardless of preferable method of transportation. Buses run along Eglinton Avenue and Bayview Avenue in all directions, with the closest stop just meters from the La Costa Condos. As well, residents looking to carve out a long-term home here should expect to use the Eglinton light rail transit system, which is slated to be finished in 2020.

    For drivers, the Don Valley Parkway (which can be accessed via Bayview Avenue) is the closest major highway, while the Allen Road to the west is another great option.
