About 15 Stafford StreetWellington on the Park

When it comes to modern condo buyers, green spaces are not always at the forefront of people’s minds, and are often sacrificed in favour of convenient locations — thankfully, you don’t have to make that sacrifice at Wellington on the Park.

Situated at 15 Stafford St, Wellington on the Park is a 9-storey condominium in the vibrant King West neighbourhood; the location of this property is incredible, as it backs on to Stanley Park — an expansive green space — and is just minutes from the Entertainment District and Toronto’s most notable attractions.

15 Stafford St is a very desirable building with reasonably priced Toronto condos for sale — but they may be too expensive for first-time homebuyers who are trying to break into the market. Given that King West is such a popular neighbourhood for young people, this building is a good fit for young professionals who work downtown and want to cut their commute.

Wellington on the Park has some nice extras to go along with its great location — gym, billiards room, party room, meeting room, and parking garage.

    The Suites

Wellington on the Park is home to 142 downtown Toronto condos — all units have private balconies and those on the top 3 floors have large outdoor terraces. Suite sizes range from just under 500 square feet for a 1 bedroom, to over 1600 for a 2 bedroom + den.

This building was completed in 2007, so suites have modern finishes; prospective buyers can expect hardwood floors, open concept kitchens with breakfast bar, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and ensuite laundry.

Animal lovers take note — this building has pet-friendly policies and might be the best in the area for dog owners; Stanley Park has a large off-leash dog park where you can let Patches, Fido, or Spot run free. You also have Garrison Common to the south for a history lesson while you walk the dog.

    The Neighbourhood

King West has become one of Toronto’s most desirable neighbourhood — located to the west of the Entertainment District, this charming community blends the best of urban convenience and residential living.

From 15 Stafford St it’s only steps to King Street and cozy pubs like King Rustic Kitchen & Bar for pub food and a drink. If pub food is not your thing, you’ll be pleased to know that King Street has an incredibly diverse offering of international cuisines; Lee’s for Asian fusion, Ichiban Sushi for Japanese, Lavelle for French, and Oretta for Italian — to name a few. There are also fast food chains like McDonalds, or quaint cafes such as Brioche Dorée.

For a night out, you can stroll to The Addisons Residence on Wellington St W, or head to Bathurst and try new crafts beers at Northern Maverick Brewing Co. A short trip east will have you in the Entertainment District for everything from stand up comedy to bustling dance floors. Baseball fans can walk to the Rogers Centre and never pay for $20 parking again — well, at least for Jays games.

A warning to avid shoppers — living this close to Queen Street could seriously harm your bank account. Queen Street has a one of kind shopping experience for everything from modern fashion and vintage finds to materials for t DIY projects — with plenty of charming cafes along the way to fuel your shopping conquest.

    Transportation

15 Stafford St has a 93 Walk Score — perfect for residents who prefer to run errands on foot. For groceries, there’s an Independent City Market on King to the west, and a Shoppers Drug Mart just one block to the north.

If you rely on public transit to commute, then you won’t need to go far for a streetcar or bus; there’s east and westbound streetcar service on King and Queen, and nearby bus stops on Strachan Avenue.

Drivers can reach the Gardiner Expressway by heading south on Strachan Avenue to Lake Shore Boulevard for the nearest on-ramp; from there it’s easy to connect to the QEW or Don Valley Parkway.
