Units within this building have great value, and represent an excellent opportunity for first time home buyers who are trying to break into the market.

Condos come in a variety of layouts for 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom + den, 2 bedroom, and 2 bedroom + den units; suite sizes range from 444 square feet to 903 square feet. Buyers can expect hardwood floors, modern kitchens, open concept layouts, floor to ceiling windows, and private balconies.

    The Neighbourhood

Keelesdale - Eglinton West might not be at the top of your list of desirable neighbourhoods, but it shouldn’t be discounted. Covering a large swatch of land between Eglinton Avenue and Rowntree Avenue, Keelesdale - Eglinton West provides its residents with a blend of quiet residential streets, green spaces, and urban convenience.

If you consider yourself to be a ‘foodie’ then you’re in for a treat; from your front door at 1600 Keele Street, you’re only steps from Subway, A&W, Pizza Nova, King's Chicken, Golden Wheat Bakery Café, and Kokyo Japanese Restaurant. Continue east on Rogers Road and you have St Matthew's BBQ Chicken, North of Brooklyn Pizzeria, Nova Era Bakery, Caloura Bar & Grill, and many other unique restaurants.

Thrift shoppers and lovers of vintage fashion can hunt for gems next door at Value Village. On Rogers Road you have several boutiques for fashion, pet supplies, furniture, musical instruments and more. For high end shopping, you can take a trip north — you’ll need a vehicle or public transit — for Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

Entertainment options tend to be recreation focused — there are athletic facilities at York Recreation Centre which house a swimming pool, a basketball court, a fitness centre and an indoor track. Nightlife options are in short supply, but Canecas is a sports bar that’s just around the corner from Solara Condominiums, and there are a few pubs on Rogers Road.

    Transportation

Concerned about walkability? Have no fear, because 1600 Keele Street has an 89 Walk Score; residents have a multitude of service based businesses in the neighbourhood — salons, auto repair shops, and specialty stores — and there are nearby grocery stores and drugs stores for the essentials.

Public transit users have bus stops just around the corner on Keele Street, Rogers Road, Old Weston Road, and Weston Road. There are no Go Stations or subway stations in the neighbourhood, but residents who use public transit to commute have buses to take them east on Eglinton Ave W for Eglinton West Station and subway lines.

Car owners who commute have a great starting point — head north on Keele and then east on Eglinton for Allen Road, and from there it’s easy to reach the 401.
