    About 25 Maitland StreetThe Cosmopolitan

With a name like The Cosmopolitan, you’d expect a chic experience — and that’s what you’ll get from the manicured courtyard out-front to the spacious suites inside. This 17-storey L-shaped condominium was built in 1998 and is home to 168 Toronto condos in the LGBTQ+ Yonge & Church Street Corridor — also known as Church - Toronto.

In addition to a great location at 25 Maitland St, this building provides relaxing amenities which are competitive with other buildings in the area: outdoor rooftop pool with stunning city views, gym, sauna, billiards room, library, and a fenced outdoor lounge with water features, security guard, and parking garage.

The Village is a vibrant and inclusive community, where excitement is always just around the corner. The Cosmopolitan is a great choice for young professionals, investors, empty nesters, and anyone who desires to be part of a friendly community, right next to the action.

    The Suites

Units at The Cosmopolitan offer great value and are on the lower end of price per square footage compared to other downtown Toronto condos for sale. Suites are based on a variety of floor plans for 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom + den, 2 bedroom, and 2 bedroom + den condos. There are also a select few units which feature 2-storey loft style layouts.

Condos in this building are quite spacious, ranging from 632 square feet to over 1200. Many suites have seen upgrade over the years, but all suites have modern finishes like hardwood floors, updated kitchens with modern appliances, soaker tubs, private balconies, and depending on exposure, some units feature wrap around windows.

With a spacious home at The Cosmopolitan you have an incredible location from which to branch out enjoy all that The Village has to offer for dining, shopping, cafes, entertainment and convenience.

    The Neighbourhood

From 25 Maitland St you are near to large attractions like The Eaton Centre, Yonge-Dundas Square, Queen’s Park and of course the vibrant and bustling LGBTQ+ neighbourhood. Shopping enthusiasts can stroll to Bloor Street for upscale boutiques like Gucci and Louis Vuitton, or head south to the Eaton Centre for over 200 stores offering the latest in fashion and technology.

Art and culture lovers can catch a show at the Buddies in Bad Times Theatre around the corner, or sample galleries in the area, and there’s always the ROM on Bloor for the latest exhibits. Music fans have nearby concert Halls like the Phoenix Concert Theatre and Massey Hall — plus it’s only a short subway ride to the Scotiabank Arena for huge acts.

There’s nothing to do on Yonge Street — said nobody, ever. Yonge Street is home to a vibrant nightlife, from escape rooms like the Roundabout, to karaoke bars such as Bar+ Karaoke Lounge, to British-themed pubs like Elephant & Castle. And whatever can’t be found on Yonge, is sitting next door on Church Street where you’ll encounter a host of dance clubs and bars.

After an exciting night on the town there’s no way you’ll want to cook breakfast — so you can walk around the corner to Crepe It Up on Church Street or grab something quick at Starbucks or Second Cup nearby. For dinner you have Como En Casa on Yonge for Mexican, Seoulicious for Korean, there’s the Smith for a Chic French Experience, plus plenty of fast food spots nearby.

    Transportation

25 Maitland St boasts a prized Walk Score of 99 — there’s a Rabba Fine Foods on Yonge, a Pusateri Fruit on Church, taking the hassle out of grocery shopping; with so many nearby shops, it should be a breeze for residents to run errands on foot.

Those who rely on TTC service to commute have north and southbound buses on Yonge, east and westbound buses on Wellesley, and Wellesley Station is only minutes away for the Yonge-University subway line.

Toronto is not known to be the most driver friendly city but The cosmopolitan is well positioned to cut down on traffic-time. For the Gardiner Expressway, head south on Jarvis for the nearest on-ramp, and for the Don Valley parkway, head north on Yonge to Bloor and then east for the Danforth on-ramp.

Church-Yonge corridor is a great place to live! The units that I've seen are pretty big for the city and there is a rooftop pool.
