About 260 High Park Avenue260 High Park Lofts

Sacrilegious or not, church-to-loft conversions are becoming ever more popular in Toronto. Twenty years ago one might have had a hard time finding more than a handful of this loft style anywhere in the city — today, however, the area surrounding 260 High Park Avenue is home to three Toronto lofts that have been converted form old churches.

The Church Lofts & Residences stand out from the rest thanks to its historicism and hybrid style. While the original church structure was built in 1907, TRAC Developments Inc. and Turner Fleischer Architects also plan to include an addition during their renovation process. As a result the classic red brick, former High Park United Church, will share a property with a four-storey glass clad structure.

The building will have room for 77 hard and soft lofts, plus some townhouse-style units. The Church Lofts & Residences is also outfitted with plenty of underground parking, as well as spots for cyclists to park their rides.

    The Suites

The suites at 260 High Park will come in a broad range of sizes, offering spaces for single buyers as well as families and their pets. Square footage at the Church Lofts & Residences ranges from approximately 400 to 1,200, and homes contain one bedroom, one bedroom plus a den, 2 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms plus a den, or three bedrooms each. Of course, being so unique, you can expect these units to go for higher prices than most Toronto condos for sale.

    The Neighbourhood

Located in the charming High Park North neighbourhood, residents living at 260 High Park can enjoy the perks of city living without dealing with any of the noise or congestion. In fact, the air even feels slightly fresher here, thanks to the proximity of the Church Lofts & Residences to High Park.

High Park spans 400 acres, and features a zoo, skating rink, swimming pool, and various other sporting facilities. Year-round, this spot is a go-to oasis for those living in the area. Alternatively, time off can be spent exploring the reclaimed furniture shops and indie cafés found in the Junction.

    Transportation

The Church Lofts & Residences are located at the corner of Annette and High Park Avenue. As a result, these homes are just a short walk from TTC access. High Park Station, on the Bloor-Danforth line, is a 15-minute walk away. The 26 Dupont bus will also come in handy for those living at 260 High Park, making a stop right at the corner of High Park and Annette.

Residents who prefer to drive can access the 427 in no time via Dundas West and Burnhamthorpe Road. Parkside Drive, on the other hand, is a great route that will carry drivers toward the Gardiner Expressway.
