About 306 Sackville StreetPeanut Factory Lofts

This is your chance to own one of the first converted factory lofts in downtown Toronto. The Peanut Factory Lofts are located at 306 Sackville St in the southern reaches of Cabbagetown, and they were originally completed in 1989. As its name would suggest, this was once a peanut factory and warehouse, but today it’s been transformed into a series of stylish hard lofts with wide open floor plans and soaring ceilings that make your home feel like a castle.

Like many of the neighbourhoods in the city, Cabbagetown has seen a dramatic revitalization in recent years. Its main commercial stretch is Parliament Street, and it has become a thriving roadway filled with some top notch commercial enterprises including amazing restaurants that have become community staples.

Despite not being directly on a subway line, 306 Sackville St still has some amazingly convenient access to public transit, making these lofts one of the most sought after addresses in the GTA.

    The Suites

Far from its industrial heritage, today Peanut Factory Lofts are a comfortable and luxurious experience. The lofts are in a 4 storey building that encompasses only nine units. All of the units have 2 bedrooms, and the layouts are exceptionally spacious, ranging from 2,181 to 2,400 square feet. In addition to the tremendously ample square footage, the condos also enjoy soaring twelve foot ceilings.

The lofts at 306 Sackville St don't come with amenities like many of the Toronto condos for sale on the market today, but there is one coveted luxury available here that many Torontonians miss about living in the big city. There are BBQs at the Peanut Factory Lofts, so you can grill up your specialty burgers and ribs for all your friends. Trust us, you’re going to become quite popular in the summertime.

There are other rare and often overlooked elements to these homes too. Some condo developments in the city won’t allow pets, but that’s not a problem here, also you will never need to worry about parking.

    The Neighbourhood

Cabbagetown was so named because the poor Irish immigrants resorted to growing cabbage on their front yards, but things change, and today it is a dynamic neighbourhood that attracts some of Toronto’s most affluent citizens.

This is evidenced by the great dining options available along Parliament Street. One highlight is the House on Parliament, which has definitely become a community staple. Whether you visit for brunch or late at night, the place is always full. All you have to do is sit down, eat their delicious fare, and enjoy the ambiance to understand why.

You’ll also want to take advantage of the Cabbagetown Farmers’ Market. Unlike most farmers’ markets that open on the weekend, the Cabbagetown Farmers’ Market is open Tuesday evenings. It attracts vendors from across Southern Ontario who are eager to sell their freshly picked wares.

    Transportation

306 Sackville Street may not be directly next to a subway station, but there are definitely ways to get around the city. It is surrounded by surface level transit on all sides, and these routes are capable of taking you across the city, as well as more local trips.

The 65 bus route serves Parliament Street, and it’s great for providing a north-south pathway in the city. It can also connect you to Castle Frank Station on Line 2, offering just one of the ways to connect to the Toronto Subway System.

There are also streetcar lines that run along Gerrard Street and the College/Carlton corridor. These are useful routes that make traveling around the downtown core incredibly simple. They also connect to the subway system as well, this time College Station on Line 1.

If you use a car to get around, then you’re in luck too. The Peanut Factory Lofts are right next to the Don Valley Parkway, which extends to connect to both the Ontario 401 and the Gardiner Expressway. Getting around from these lofts is an easy nut to crack.
