About 397 Front Street W — Apex at Cityplace
Essential to the establishment of the CityPlace neighbourhood as a vibrant community of its own, Concord Adex Developments paid extra attention to executing the most luxurious of details in the Apex Condos, the second to rise in the popular community. Completed in 2003, these two towers at 381-397 Front Street West house some of the most passionately pursued homes in the city.
The classic design of 381 Front St W at CityPlace was thought up by Wallman Clewes Bergman. It was also one of the last projects credited to the firm, before it became the much acclaimed ArchitectsAlliance.
Standing at 28- and 36-storeys, smart design decisions like recessed balconies keep the building’s shape smooth. This makes it so that the Apex at CityPlace Condos attracts onlookers’ eyes with a sleek array of blue glass panels that shimmer like Lake Ontario, which is just south of the building.
At 381-397 Front, the two towers are connected via a handsome podium, housing an impressive 2-storey lobby that features a 24-hour concierge service and an inviting courtyard. The amenities don’t stop there, though: Residents of the Apex Condos are automatically made members of Club Vista. This means they have access to a theater, conference room, guest suites, and a massive party room, plus an exceptional gym. The latter is equipped not just with weights and cardio equipment, there’s space to play basketball, tennis and even indoor soccer as well.
The Suites
Matching the elegance of the Apex at CityPlace’s exterior, the styles within the 637 suites will surely please any prospective resident. Floor-to-ceiling windows give these living spaces a bright atmosphere, while also letting residents peer out onto a captivating cityscape.
The suites are well-suited for young professionals and couples, particularly those who are interested in Toronto condos for rent. Suite sizes range in size from approximately 400 to 1,600 square feet. Regardless of actual size, stylish finishes as well as smart layouts mean residents live in the epitome of modern luxury.
The Neighbourhood
While their suites are quite comfortable, residents may not spend much time in them at all — the excitement of the neighbourhood never ceases. The Apex at CityPlace is around the corner from Blue Jays Way, meaning the Rogers Centre is steps away. Moreover, hockey and basketball fans will be happy to know that the Scotiabank Arena is also in the area.
Alternatively, just a block north of 381-393 Front West, the collection of theatres on King Street stages some great live productions. Theatres like the Royal Alexandra and the Princess of Wales attract the best stage companies from around the world.
Lastly, residents should be sure to check out the Lakeshore. There’s an extensive network of parks and gardens all connected through the Martin Goodman Trail — a truly great bicycle and pedestrian path. During a sunny summer weekend, residents can easily explore many spectacular spots from Humber Bay all the way to The Beaches.
For running errands, there’s a Sobeys Urban Fresh a short walk from 381-383 Front, on Spadina Avenue at Fort York Boulevard. Residents who love to bake will be happy to know that the Entertainment District has its own Bulk Barn on King. Finally, all residents (or the one’s that are of age) will enjoy that an LCBO is less than five minutes away at Spadina and King.
Transportation
Residents can easily get around Toronto. Drivers are very well positioned, as Spadina connects to the Gardiner Expressway just a few minutes from 381-393 Front West.
For those who prefer public transit, the 510 Spadina Streetcar serves the Apex at CityPlace Condos well. Heading north and south through the Core, the 510 stops at Front and Spadina. Though the 510 streetcar heads to Union Station — where travelers can take the subway, GO Transit, Via Rail, and the UP Express — walking there from 381-383 Front only takes about 15 minutes for residents who are so inclined.
