About 50 Bartlett AvenueLanehouse on Bartlett

Just to the northeast of where Dufferin and Bloor Street West intersect, sits the Lanehouse on Bartlett at 50 Bartlett Avenue. These luxurious, converted lofts are perfect for young professionals looking on their own, with a partner, or even a small family. The only prerequisite is a desire to live in a charming neighborhood in the west end, while still being close to the urban venues and attractions that downtown Toronto is known for.

Built in 2017, the Lanehouse on Bartlett was once a yarn factory, functioning alongside many of the other textile factories that dotted the streets of The Junction - West End and the Dovercourt & Wallace Emerson-Junction. The building’s façade has remained largely intact, with its original brick masonry and large factory windows drawing the attention of history buffs. The conversion process also saw the addition of modern materials like concrete, metal and wood.

Just a few years ago, 50 Bartlett was a decrepit old factory. Now, the modern lofts that exist there are the ideal place for a contemporary urbanite to call home. The building also provide a great opportunity for aesthetically-minded residents to flex their interior design muscles.

    The Suites

There are an exclusive number of homes within the Lanehouse on Bartlett; just 16 suites are found along its single storey. 13 of the units are converted lofts, while the 3 remaining units are modern homes. These residences range in size from around 950 to 2,000 square feet, and come with one or two bedrooms and one to three bathrooms each.

Even with so few homes 50 Bartlett Avenue has a variety of layouts and floor plans to choose from, each of which utilizes huge open-concept spaces, perfect for residents to tinker with and customize to their liking. These homes are perfect blank canvases on which personal touches can be put. Ceilings can reach up to 18 feet high thanks to mezzanine-style upper floors with glass railings and interior windows, accessed via compact staircases hidden by sliding barn doors.

Best of all, the Lanehouse on Bartlett has retained its enormous factory windows, which flood spaces with light and illuminate the exposed brick walls that have been painted white. Heated floors are finished with concrete, and many units have sunny and spacious rooftop terraces to lounge on. And all suites have their own laundry machines, of course.

Kitchens are outfitted with large islands, stone counters, stainless steel appliances, and woodgrain cabinetry, while stylish bathrooms have matching ceramics on walls and floors, as well as soaker tubs and glass door showers.
