About 501 Rear Logan Avenue — Logan Mews Townhouses
Just off Gerrard Street East, at 501 Rear Logan Avenue, is a set of condos that bring a touch of modern style to the North Riverdale & Blake Jones neighbourhood. Tucked away from the traffic, the Logan Mews Condos cater well to many prospective homeowners, however small families are especially content with Toronto condos for sale here, as the area is one of the more renowned residential neighbourhoods in the city.
Developed by Urban Renaissance, the Logan Mews Condos consist of 8 townhomes that reach to 4 storeys. The first of these storeys are home to stone-clad garages, whereas the upper levels exhibit more modern architecture, accented by elegant cornices across every floor. Above, passersby can’t help but notice precisely cut, deep balconies that face south towards Lake Ontario.
Indeed, 501 Rear Logan’s aesthetic breathes fresh life into the neighbourhood, signaled by the building’s bright white windows and doors. Complementing this fresh atmosphere beautifully are a copious amount of grand, mature trees that surround the condos.
Although these exclusive east end Toronto condos don’t offer an extensive array of expensive amenities, the friendly, family-oriented community welcomes residents with open arms: great local businesses and services staffed by friendly folk are just around the corner.
The Suites
The 8 suites in 501 Rear Logan each feature similar floor plans: they cover approximately 1,550 square feet and boast two generously-sized bedrooms and grand, four piece master bathrooms. As mentioned before, each unit has its own private garage at ground level, as well as a terrace that can be accessed via the uppermost floor.
Inside the Logan Mews Condos, residents enjoy open concept living spaces with 9-foot ceilings. Courtesy of their prime southern exposure, an abundance of natural light fills the suites, making the already attractive hardwood floors in their principal rooms look even better.
Furthermore, kitchens serve their residents quite well. They feature stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, and elegant marble flooring to top it all off.
Finally, we won’t blame those living in the Logan Mews Condos who boast about their walk-in closets. Large to begin with, they’re outfitted with custom organizers adorned with walnut millwork — both efficient and elegant.
The Neighbourhood
Perhaps best known as the setting of the popular Canadian teen drama, Degrassi — whose namesake street is just around the corner from 501 Rear Logan — the North Riverdale and Blake-Jones area has long been established as an idyllic family neighbourhood. Of course this reputation didn’t develop because of the television show, but due to the diverse local businesses found throughout the area. Moreover, the abundance of green space that surrounds the Logan Mews Condos makes living in the area all the more enjoyable.
Around the corner from the building, about a block north on Logan Avenue, the enormous Withrow Park is one of the best developed green spaces in the city. There are many dedicated sports areas, including two baseball diamonds, two tennis courts, a volleyball court and even an outdoor skating rink during the winter. Moreover, for those who plan to gather with family and friends, there are picnic spaces and field houses, as well as a fire pit and a kitchen. Finally, there’s even an off-leash enclosure for dog owners.
Transportation
National television fame or not, living in Riverdale has its perks: for one, the TTC serves the area exceptionally well. Multiple streetcar stops are within walking distance of 501 Rear Logan, the closest of which is the 506 Carlton Streetcar’s stop at Logan Street and Gerrard East.
Residents can use the 506 Streetcar to access the downtown core with ease, but when one is using public transportation to reach destinations slightly farther from home, they can start by hopping onto the 72 bus. This bus stops at the corner of Gerrard East and Carlaw Avenue, and takes riders up to Pape Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line in about five minutes.
Last but not least, the Logan Mews Condos’ location is great for drivers living in the building. Traffic rarely stalls in the east end, meaning one can reach the Don Valley Parkway via Danforth Avenue, the first major street north of 501 Rear Logan, in no time.
