About 535 Queen Street ECarhart Lofts

Anyone who adores authentic brick and beam lofts will be head over heels for the Carhartt Lofts. The building also comes with a tidbit of history for anyone who really appreciates work wear; 535 Queen St E is over 100 years old and was at one time owned by Hamilton Carhartt Co, better known today as the Carhartt clothing line. We’re sure they made great clothing, but the loft is certainly the best iteration of this property.

As a hard loft, 535 Queen Street East doesn’t offer a lengthy list of amenities. Residents have parking on-site but will need to look elsewhere for a gym. Though some might not appreciate modest amenities, everyone will appreciate the lower than average maintenance fees found at Carhartt Lofts.

    The Suites

Another plus for this 2 storey loft complex is that it’s about as boutique as a building gets with only 11 units in total. Suite sizes range from 1,299 to 1,540 square feet; floor plans are open concept and follow one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom layouts.

Regardless of individual floor plans, all units are authentic and unique; buyers can expect wood beams, exposed brick walls and concrete ceilings, ductwork, track lighting, and sliding garage doors.

    The Neighbourhood

Not to be out done, the Corktown neighbourhood has plenty to offer any would-be residents. Green spaces are ample with Corktown Commons nearby and Lower Don River Trail running north to south through the area. There’s a plethora of excellent cafes for a morning shot of espresso, and some great locally owned and run restaurants. And best of all, whatever can’t be found in Corktown can be found nearby in the Distillery District.

    Transportation

Car owners have a driver friendly area and can easily access the Gairdner Expressway via Cherry Street; transit users have TTC service just outside of the building.
