    Completed in 1982, in the style of the elegant New York Brownstones that line the upper east and west sides, the Bentley Condos stand at 6-storeys tall. Nonetheless, the building’s stout shape is spacious, stretching along Church Street. With its charming brick construction, this building’s a stalwart fixture in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood, signaling its culturally-refined atmosphere: it is in fact home to many artists, writers, and entrepreneurs.

    Unlike many new developments, the Bentley Condos doesn’t offer an extensive and expensive list of amenities. Still, there's a concierge service in its stately lobby, and residents have access to a recreation room and a rooftop space that they’re quite proud of.

    Being such a wide building, 80 Adelaide and 55 Lombard boasts an extraordinarily expansive rooftop terrace: it has barbecues, comfortable seating areas, a gazebo, and an outdoor, saltwater swimming pool and sundeck. Finally, few condominiums have green roofs with trees as grand as the Bentley’s — though those trees are just a part of the lush gardens that have been carefully groomed and cultivated over the years.

    The Suites

    There are a total of 77 Toronto condos at 80 Adelaide and 55 Lombard, which includes one, two, and three bedroom suites, and even spacious townhouses as well. While they range in size from about 850 to over 1,700 square feet, they’re all comfortable, made more so by the friendly atmosphere of the building.

    While the Bentley Condos’ suites have undergone some customization over the years, they’re well known for their floor plans: these consist of wide open living rooms, oversized kitchens, and generous bedroom retreats offering a lot room for prospective residents’ surely tasteful touches.

    The Neighbourhood

    Though the neighbourhood is quiet, those living at 80 Adelaide and 55 Lombard are in an enviable part of the downtown core. Some of the city’s most prestigious fine dining establishments, like Terroni and the Rosewater, are just down the street. Similarly, some of the fanciest cafés are tucked away along this neighbourhood’s streets, ready to be discovered.

    Conversely, there are also many reasonably-priced neighbourhood restaurants, pubs and bars on King Street, a block south of the Bentley. And, with Yonge Street a short walk away, all the most popular restaurants and franchises are always a convenient option.

    Nevertheless, one can’t possibly eat out every night. Fortunately, the St. Lawrence Market is around the corner. There, residents can find a wide produce selection, carefully stocked by its proud vendors, and expert fishmongers and butchers, who’ll be quick to tell their customers exactly how to prepare any cut of meat or fish.

    Transportation

    Residents can get around the city easily — even without a car of their own. 80 Adelaide and 55 Lombard is found between two TTC Streetcar routes, the 501 Queen and 504 King. Both travel east and west across the city.

    Furthermore, along the 501 and 504 Streetcar routes, riders can transfer onto the subway at nearby Queen or King Stations, respectively. These stations are also only about a five-minute walk away, on Yonge street, for those who prefer to walk.

    Those who do drive enjoy living away from the traffic of Yonge Street, while also being very close to the highway. Drivers need only head south on Jarvis Street to quickly access the Gardiner Expressway. Once on this face-paced highway, a connection to the Don Valley Parkway is but a few minutes away.
