    The Rexdale, West Humber, and Clairville name might not foster a sense of identity, but this family friendly neighbourhood has a ton to offer if you can look past the confusing title.

    Covering a large expanse of land between Steeles Avenue, the 427, and 401, the Rexdale, West Humber, and Clairville area is a commuter friendly neighbourhood with an abundance of green spaces, and 2 large commercial sectors located on its southern and northern boundaries. While the neighbourhood has several subsections, the greater area if often referred to simply as Rexdale.

    For first-time home buyers and growing families, this neighbourhood represents an opportunity to purchase an affordable home, and still be able to commute downtown for work; single-family homes are what usually draws new residents to this neighbourhood, but Toronto condos for sale in Rexdale are far more affordable.

    Casino Woodbine is located in the south end of the neighbourhood, providing entertainment for those who enjoy to gamble; you’ll also find restaurants, car dealerships, big-box stores, and Woodbine Mall. On the north side there’s another commercial space with retail stores, manufacturers, fitness centres, and offices.

    Residential streets are found in the middle of the neighbourhood, divided by parks and the Humber River. Outdoor recreation enthusiasts have walking trails, Valley Sports Field, and Humber Arboretum for unspoiled natural sights. On quiet side streets you’ll encounter similarly styled 2-storey houses and bungalows, and the occasional brick apartment building tossed into the mix. There are also older high-rises which offer larger suites for buyers who need a little more space.

    Lastly, buyers who value space and privacy have townhomes such as Ladycroft Terrace Townhomes. Most Rexdale condos are located near the Humber Arboretum and Humber River, providing residents with stunning views.

    Transportation

    As much as Rexdale, West Humber and Clairville has a lot to offer, it should stay humble, because with a 57 Walk Score, most residents will need a vehicle or public transit to run errands. Public transit fares much better, with several bus routes in the area and stops on all major roads. Plus, Pearson Airport is just next door, taking some of the hassle out of flying — emphasis on some.

    The easiest way to navigate the neighbourhood is in a vehicle, and as such, Rexdale condos are ideal for drivers — with the 401, 407, and 427 all nearby, drivers can get where they’re going in a hurry.
