    Buying a home in Richview

Tucked away in Etobicoke and comprised of Richmonds Garden, Martin Grove Gardens, and Willowridge — Richview is much more than a neighbourhood that’s suffering from an identity crisis, offering affordable detached houses, access to green spaces, and a commuter friendly location beside the 401.

For first time home buyers, there’s a lot to love about Toronto condos for sale in this neighbourhood — on residential streets lined with mature trees, you’ll encounter bungalows and split level homes. And while the word affordable is a relative term when applied to Toronto real estate, detached houses here tend to be below the average price in the GTA; the same is true for Richview condos.

Nature lovers and outdoor recreation enthusiasts are sure to feel at ease in Richview; there are many large parks in the neighbourhood such as Richview Park and Silvercreek Park, and nearby walking trails to the south. You’ll also find soccer fields, baseball diamonds, skating rinks, tennis courts, and playgrounds.

The majority of businesses in the area are centered around Eglinton Ave and Royal York Boulevard — a small selection of restaurants, retails stores, salons, and health related businesses. As well, there are several well respected schools in the neighbourhood from primary to senior high.

    Condo Life in Richview

Richview condos can be found in a traditional high-rise building, a low-rise building, and 2 townhome complexes. While this neighbourhood might not be the most exciting area for first time home buyers, there are some great options here; Richgrove Village Condos for example, offers townhome style living with suites that start at 1000 square feet — and sell for the price of a 500 square foot unit in downtown Toronto.

Prospective buyers who have a looser grip on the purse strings may be drawn to units at Richview Park, which are over 1600 square feet and have luxurious finishes. And those searching for something huge, can get 2000 square foot units at The Classics Townhouses.

One possible let down for Richview condos are that amenities are modest — Golden Gate Condos has a pool and a gym, but the building was completed in the 70s and some might find the faculties to be dated.

    Transportation

Those who love running errands on foot are going to be disappointed, as this neighbourhood limps to a Walk Score of 51. Fortunately, residents have great public transit, and there are at least 5 bus routes that service the neighbourhood.

Richview condos are geared towards car owners who commute — a short trip west on Eglinton will have you on the 401 or 427 in minutes, allowing for quick connections to the Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway.
