Buying a home in York Mills

If you’re looking for prestige and space, this is the neighbourhood for you — that is, if you can afford it.

York Mills is an affluent neighbourhood in the area of North York; known for the expansive green spaces woven throughout the community and multi-million dollars mansions, this neighbourhood is home to families and established professionals. The condo scene is no less luxurious, as York Mills condos have desirable finishes, relaxing amenities, and command high price tags.

The neighbourhood is situated north of York Mills Rd and south of the ON 401 — and mostly comprised of quiet tree-lined residential streets and parks. York Mills Rd could be considered the main thoroughfare for this area, and along the eastern edges of the neighbourhood there’s a reasonably sized shopping centre in York Mills Gardens, as well as offices, pubs, event centres like YMG - York Mills Gallery, and kid-friendly entertainment such as Kids Fun City.

Many of the businesses found here are focused on the food service industry, but there are several spas and salons on York Mills Rd, and specialized shops within the neighbourhood. York Mills has schools at all academic levels, and plenty of recreation options to keep children entertained.
