About 889 Bay StreetOpera Place II

Opera Place II is located in the Bay St. Corridor, which is in the heart of downtown Toronto. Nestled in between the city’s two most integral streets, these condos are surrounded by tonnes of local amenities that include bars, restaurants, public transit, and so much more.

889 Bay St. features a range of suites sizes, many of which are equipped with sizeable balconies and terraces. There’s also commercial retail units on the ground level that further add to the convenience of this location.

World class public transit is right around the corner from these condos thanks to Wellesley Station, so the entire city is right at your fingertips.

    The Suites

This tower was built following the success of Opera Place I, and it stands at 16 storeys tall and is home to 154 Toronto condos. There’s an array of suites at 889 Bay St that ranges from 538 to 1,301 square feet. There are balconies or terraces on nearly every suite, so you’ll always have plenty of outdoor space.

Completed in 1999, these suites are larger than the majority of Toronto condos for sale on the market today. There are one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom plus den suites.

There are amazing amenities at Opera Place II including a fully equipped exercise room. There’s also a 24-hour concierge who can help you take care of any problem that should arise. There’s even a Presse Cafe at ground level — so you can always pick up your morning latte on the go.

    The Neighbourhood

889 Bay St. is located in the Bay Corridor, which, in many ways, is the nerve centre of downtown Toronto. Yonge Street is lined with shops, restaurants, bars, and so much more. Whether it’s McDonalds or the classic dining experience at Carmen’s Steak House, you’ll be able to find what you’re looking for.

Residents will be lucky to have a premier shopping centre only a 15 minute walk away. The Toronto Eaton Centre has over 2 million square feet of retail space that encompasses 235 stores and services. Boutique clothing stores, specialty stores and a world class food court can all be found here.

These condos could be a great home for students because Opera Place II is centrally located to the urban university campuses. The University of Toronto is the country’s largest and most prestigious school, and 889 Bay St. is only a 10 minute walk away. Toronto Metropolitan University is the home of the Ted Rogers School of Management, and it’s only a 15 minute walk away.

Some of the city’s best cultural institutions are located right around the corner on Yonge. Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre, Ed Mirvish Theatre and Massey Hall all play regular host to Broadway shows and big ticket bands, so you’ll always want to watch what’s coming to town.

    Transportation

Wellesley is the closest subway station, and this acts as the main transit gateway to the rest of the city for 889 Bay St. If you head southward, the route loops around the Financial District, which is one of the major employment hubs of the city.

If you head north at Wellesley, you’ll hit Bloor-Yonge Station in one stop. This is the busiest subway station in the city because it’s the central transfer station. This is where you can transfer from Line 1 Yonge-University to Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. There’s also a streetcar that careens down the College/Carlton corridor. This is easiest way to travel in an east-west direction in downtown Toronto.

Drivers can drive down Bay Street to easily get onto the Gardiner Expressway. This is an arterial highway that makes it easy to reach the different parts of downtown. It also connects to the Don Valley Parkway, putting the entire GTA within reach.
