About 121 Trudelle StreetMcCowan Place Condos

McCowan Place Condos is a 1978-built tower owning a large footprint in the Eglinton East neighbourhood, commonly referred to as “Knob Hill”. The building stands 17 storeys tall at 121 Trudelle St, on manicured grounds that’s tucked away and yet only steps from a busy stretch of Eglinton Ave East.

Condo life at 121 Trudelle St comes with some convenient amenities for families — an outdoor pool and a children’s playground. Recreation enthusiasts have a small on-site gym, tennis courts, a recreation room and a party room for hosting events. The building has underground parking and plenty of visitor parking.

What this building lacks in curb appeal it more than makes up for in value and whether you're a first time home buyer or a seasoned investor, there will be no denying the appeal.

    The Suites

Despite this building’s considerable frame, there are only 215 Toronto condos within. All homes are incredibly spacious by modern condo standards as even the smallest 2 bedroom condo in the building provides 949 square feet of living space; there are 1 bedroom plus den floor plans at 1157 square feet. For families, the 1395 square foot 3 bedroom condos are great for young kids.

Because of the building’s age there’s potential for dated units. Most homes have hard hardwood flooring and modern enclosed kitchens — though there are units that have open concept layouts. Wide kitchen cabinets and large countertops are great for food preparation and most kitchens have room for a table.

Bedrooms are comparable to what’s found in most modern houses, and main bedrooms come equipped with deep walk-in closets. All units have in-suite laundry and private balconies.

    The Neighbourhood

Eglinton East balances residential streets and large commercial areas, centered around the intersection of Eglinton Ave East and Danforth Avenue in the Scarborough area. The area provides an outdoor lifestyle for families — with a winding river and parklands on its northern boundary along the Pringdale Ravine and expansive parks with walking trails to the south at McCowan District Park.

McCowan Place Condos is mere steps from Eglinton Avenue dining — locally owned eateries like Thalassery Dum Biryan and Amazing Shawarma Restaurant, and well known chains such as McDonald's and Swiss Chalet. There’s a Tim Hortons and Starbucks close-by for morning coffee, and while nightlife attractions are modest, there’s Sports Cafe Champions and Sports Cafe Champions on Eglinton Ave.

Shoppers will find many specialty stores nearby from jewellers to home supplies to clothing boutiques and more. Schools and daycares are sprinkled through the neighbourhood with more in surrounding areas, and green spaces like Trudelle Park are just minutes away and are perfect for a breath of fresh air.

    Transportation

121 Trudelle St is only steps from a small grocery store and a convenience store, and though businesses can be found close-by, it isn’t a perfect location for running errands without a vehicle.

Public transit service is efficient in the neighbourhood with nearby bus stops on Eglinton Ave E, plus, Eglinton GO is only 9 minutes away on foot. Car owners who commute to downtown Toronto can follow Kingston Rd to the west and arrive in the core in roughly 30 minutes.
