About 126 Spadina Road — Annex Town5
While the name, Annex Town5, tells a lot — there are indeed 5 Toronto townhouses in this Annex neighbourhood development — more is revealed by the name of its builders. Joy Developments completed the condos at 126 Spadina Road in 2018, and ever since these residences have wooed prospective homeowners with their luxury features and contemporary design.
In an area many university professors proudly call home, the modern architecture by Steven Fong, is suitably smart and sophisticated. The building’s expansive windows feature modern framing, reminiscent of Mondrian’s famed paintings — though what may matter most is that they bring lots of light into the building.
Standing at just three-storeys tall, 126 Spadina’s details become a major focus — but even against such scrutiny the Annex Town5 Condos look splendid. Dark brick and designer doors make for a strong façade — the perfect aesthetic for 126 Spadina’s five exclusive homes.
Holding just five units means there won’t be an extensive list of expensive amenities in the Annex Town5. While the building does boast a common rooftop terrace, it's the vibrant surrounding neighbourhood that offers everything residents could ask for. Of course, with just 5 units, the chances of finding one of these Toronto condos for sale will be a trying task, as these exclusive suites don't hit the market very often.
The Suites
The Annex Town5 Condos suites are all superbly designed and exceptionally comfortable homes — they are spacious spots where homeowners can even raise their families, if they so please. All units have two bedrooms, a den, and three bathrooms. Four are approximately 1,450 square feet, while the largest is around 1,800.
Light flows through the suites’ large windows and circulates well through open-concept layouts. Considerable attention is paid to the details, evident in unique features like floating staircases, the atmosphere feels bright and fresh throughout all of its living spaces.
Still, the kitchens may be the defining attraction. The European cabinetry is elegant and efficient. Moreover, the state-of-the-art integrated stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, will more than satisfy any chef.
The Neighbourhood
While living in the Annex, residents find themselves in an enviable part of the city each and every day. Around the corner on Dupont Street, there are mainly new, upscale restaurants run by creative chefs. Those seeking a delicious and adventurous dining experience will certainly enjoy exploring the Annex Town5 Condos’ burgeoning local food scene.
Conversely, the well-established and distinguished Yorkville is not far from these condos. In Yorkville, residents can indulge in world-class shopping. Many boutiques and stores sell the newest collections the most luxurious brands and designers have to offer.
Residents looking for fitness facilities will enjoy Yorkville’s many yoga studios, and the state-of-the-art Equinox on Avenue Road. Additionally, south of 126 Spadina, the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre has a fully stocked weight and cardio room, and its basketball court hosts some of the best runs downtown.
For an extensive and inexpensive restaurant selection, a short walk down Spadina is all it takes — although side streets are encouraged because they exhibit some of Toronto’s most charming residential architecture. Once on Bloor, any taste can be satisfied: one can find sushi, sports bars, shawarma spots, and so much more.
On top of all that, at Bloor and Walmer residents can conveniently stock up on groceries at Metro. Similarly, residents can stop by the Shoppers or LCBO on Dupont when staples or spirits have run low.
Transportation
Prospective residents will find getting around the city easy. 126 Spadina Road is about a three-minute walk from the closest TTC station, Dupont Station, on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line.
At the next station south of Dupont riders can transfer to the Bloor-Danforth line at Spadina. Although, residents should know that the transfer at Spadina includes a walk through a very long tunnel. Fortunately, the next station, St. George, provides the same connection but without the walk.
Last but not least, the Annex Town5 Condos are well positioned for drivers. 126 Spadina sits between major arteries spanning the city, like Bathurst and Bloor (Spadina soon ends to the north in midtown but it moves well south through the downtown core). For those leaving the city, highway access is not far either: to get onto the Don Valley Parkway, the Bayview onramp is ten minutes away.
