Elevators have been down for 3 weeks with only 1 elevator for 43 floors. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Management mentioned that one other elevator would be running shortly but that deadline has also passed without any further notice.
Furthermore, most of the concerned are really nice. However I believe the man concierge sitting during the weekdays during the day goes above and beyond to try not be helpful. Whether it’s constantly misplacing packages under wrong names or giving attitude for no reason.

I lived in this building for over three years and I’m disappointed with the management’s performance.
During my entire residency and especially toward the end, the management has consistently failed to address major issues that affect residents’ daily lives.
The steam room/sauna has been out of service for more than three months, with little to no communication or visible effort to repair it. Despite multiple complaints from residents, no meaningful updates were provided and the facility remains unusable.
The elevator situation is unacceptable. During rush hours, wait times are often 15-20 minutes or more, which is extremely inconvenient and frustrating; especially for residents on higher floors. This has become an ongoing problem with no real action taken to improve service or reduce delays.
Overall, the management has shown a lack of responsiveness and accountability. Maintenance issues persist far too long, and resident concerns are not taken seriously. I cannot recommend living here based on my experience.

This building is in the best downtown Toronto location, with everything nearby. The residents are friendly, and the amenities, especially the basketball court on the 6th floor, are a highlight.

I enjoy the neighbourhood, from TIFF to AGO. The staff is friendly, security is great, and the building’s reliable.
Built by Daniels in 2013, Cinema Tower stands at 43 storeys and has 440 units. The majority of units (around 70%) are one-bedroom units and one-plus dens.
Things I like about the building:
- Units are well-designed with efficient layouts
- All units in the building have balconies
- The building offers an exclusive "Club Cinematheque" for residents to access multiple amenities in the building, including a multi-use sports court, sauna, movie theatre, gym, and terrace, to name a few
- All units offer floor-to-ceiling windows and built-in appliances
- Aesthetically, the building looks pleasing from the outside.
Some things to consider:
- Maintenance fees are on the higher side @ $0.90/sqft
- Elevator wait times can be a problem, especially during peak hours
