About 230 King Street EKings Court

With over 30 years of experience behind their belt at the time, Camrost Felcorp raised the bar in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood with the creation of the Kings Court Condos in 2005. Located at 230 King Street East, the mishmash of old and new amounts to a timeless aesthetic.

The contemporary condo building contains a hint of tradition: red brick, glass, and steel are met with heritage at the front entryway, as the rounded corner of King and Sherbourne is enveloped in antique yellow brick. In fact, this corner features the preserved façade of an former bank.

The Kings Court reaches to 17 storeys, and the grand total of 332 downtown Toronto condos contained within means St. Lawrence condos for sale in this building bound to appear on the market every now and then. We wouldn’t be surprised, however, if residents living at 230 King Street East do everything in their power to prolong moving from these homes.

The building features just the right amenities, keeping residents comfortable and content, without driving up maintenance fees too much. Those living at the Kings Court Condos have access to a gym, party room, rooftop terrace, communal barbecues, guest suites, and a sauna, while a concierge is on site for keeping everything in order. The building also boasts its own website, keeping residents informed of news and events.

    The Suites

The homes at 230 King Street East are ideal for anyone in search of a bright, modern home in the heart of downtown Toronto. This is, in part, thanks to the units being drenched in warm, natural lighting. Sliding glass doors leading out to balconies double as entryways for the sun’s rays, an especially useful feature once wintertime rolls around.

While none of the units in the Kings Court Condos are quite palatial, they are sizeable for their location. Suites at 230 King east range from around 400 to 1,000 square feet, with exposures including studios, two bedroom homes, and a few others in between.

Especially imperative for such a dense residence, the Kings Court Lofts are said to be soundproofed. Finishes include hardwood or laminate flooring, depending on the unit, while the purchase of certain condos provide access to solariums, lockers, and even parking spaces.

    The Neighbourhood

The Kings Court is located on the calmer, more laid back side of King Street. Rather than a place to see and be seen, King East is the spot for unwinding in an independent café, grabbing after-work drinks at a quirky dive bar, and shopping for some of the trendiest furniture in the city.

Entertainment is also abundant in the area, with venues like Young People’s Theatre, Canadian Stage, and the Alumnae Theatre Company just around the corner. For an evening that feels a little more laid back, the Imagine Cinemas Market Square is also within close reach.

Luciano’s No Frills is 150 metres from the front doors of the Kings Court Condos, making a trip to the grocery store both quick and inexpensive. Also in the same complex are an LCBO and a Dollarama, meaning residents really don’t need to travel far to find what they need.

Yet the pièce de résistance would have to be St. Lawrence Market. Named one of the best markets in the world by both CNN and National Geographic, this spot is literal foodie heaven. From freshly baked breads to a global array of cheeses and spices, homemade periogis, peameal bacon sandwiches, and even lobster rolls, most visitors have a hard time leaving empty handed. The north building is also home to a farmer’s market each Saturday of the year, while the same site fills with antique vendors every Sunday.

    Transportation

Although we won’t blame residents who choose not to leave the area all that often, some find themselves in need of change every now and then, while others may commute out of the neighbourhood on a daily basis.

Thankfully, the King’s Court Condos are well situated for traveling throughout the city. Streetcars along King Street East provide quick and easy access to King Station on the Yonge subway line, from which trains move hurriedly north and south.

Drivers can reach both the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway in no time, either of which allows them to zip around the city with ease.
