    About 245 Davisville AvenueThe Parkside

The Parkside Condos, located at 245 Davisville Avenue, is found right at the corner of Mt. Pleasant Road and Davisville Avenue. This quaint, mid-rise condominium sits in Toronto’s highly desirable Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, with quick access to parks, the subway, and plenty of shops and restaurants.

Built in 2003, the Parkside Condos have a façade of pale red brick and glass, providing residents with a humble and comfortable, yet stylish place to live in midtown Toronto. Sitting on a residential section of Davisville Avenue and between a park and the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, the building is tucked away from the traffic and congestion that major intersections are known for.

There are also a number of amenities for residents to get used to, including a gym, garage parking for residents and visitors, a party room with a full kitchen, guest suites, and a conference room.

    The Suites

The Parkside Condos stand at a modest 9 storeys, and hold 148 Toronto condos that range in size from 570 square feet to just over 1,000 square feet. Suites come in a variety of exposures, from 1 to 2 bedrooms and 1 to 2 bathroom layouts, many of which feature spacious private balconies.

Suite interiors are bright and spacious, thanks to the large windows, 9-foot ceilings and open concept designs in common living spaces. Kitchens are fitted with a modern fridge, stove, dishwasher, and microwave each, plus wood cabinetry, and granite countertops. What’s more, the bathrooms are finished with porcelain sinks and ceramic showers, and the suites at 245 Davisville also feature stacked washer and dryer units.

    The Neighbourhood

While the section of midtown Toronto that the building occupies is rather quiet, plenty of great shops, restaurants, entertainment venues and bars can be found by heading north or south on Mt. Pleasant Road, or west on Davisville Avenue towards Yonge Street. There’s also great shopping at Yonge and Eglinton, just a short walk or TTC trip from 245 Davisville.

An eclectic mix of fine dining and greasy spoon eateries await residents, as well as plenty of cozy coffee shops, gelaterias and other specialty food stores. There are also many grocery stores to choose from close to 245 Davisville Avenue, in addition to other errand-running locations such as pharmacies or banks.

For entertainment in the area, residents might opt to watch a movie at either the Mount Pleasant Theatre or Regent Theatre, both just north of the building. If the specialty and indie films here aren’t one’s style, there’s always the Silver City and Canada Square theaters, both at the nearby intersection of Yonge and Eglinton. On more relaxed nights, residents can even rent a movie from the Mt. Pleasant Public Library, which is just 5 minutes away from 245 Davisville Avenue.

The nearby Mt. Pleasant Cemetery to the south provides loads of attractive green space to liven up views from the building (especially in the fall), while a number of more functional parks are close by as well. These include Oriole Park, Moorevale Park and June Rowlands Park right across the street. Several school also serve the area’s needs, such as Hodgson Senior Public School, Blythwood Junior Public School, and Leaside High School.
