Developed by the award-winning Great Gulf Homes, the Tux Condos will be the perfect oasis for anyone seeking an exciting and engaged city lifestyle.
With a portfolio filled with bold designs like the Duke Condos and Abacus Lofts, as well as the elegant Toy Factory Lofts, there’s much anticipation for Quadrangle Architects’ work at 357 King West in the King West neighbourhood. Slated for completion in 2020, the 42-storey Tux Condos’ design utilizes a stylish black and white colour palette, accented by timeless copper details. This metallic touch is a classic flourish, elevating the Tux Condos’ captivating contemporary aesthetic into timeless territory.
Making 357 King West even more attractive to prospective residents, the selection of amenities set out for them is spectacular. The Neighbourhood
At the corner of King West and Blue Jays Way, the Tux Condos occupies a prominent corner of the Entertainment District. For foodies, there are as many world-class restaurants as there are options for exotic and inexpensive fare along King West.
For fans of live performances, they need only head down the street from 357 King West to see great shows at the Princess of Wales and Royal Alexandra Theatres. Additionally, at the corner of King West and Simcoe Street, both the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir call Roy Thomson Hall home.
Shoppers will enjoy living so close to the Fashion District. The many sophisticated boutiques and much hyped shops on Spadina, just west of the Tux Condos, await residents who feel like they want to treat themselves. Moreover, for residents with a taste for the outdoors, Mountain Equipment Co-op is right across the street from the building.
Lastly, for gathering groceries, there are some fantastic options in the neighbourhood. At the corner of Spadina and King West, the Fresh & Wild Food Market offers an impression selection of local and organic goods. Though, when essentials run low, a Shoppers Drug Mart neighbouring the Tux Condos is very convenient.
Transportation
One of the many advantages of living in the Entertainment District is its connectivity. Public transit serves King West well: The 504 King Streetcar stops right in front of the building on its route through the downtown core. It will take riders to the nearby St. Andrew subway station, which is also only about a ten-minute walk from the Tux Condos.
Last but not least, those who drive will enjoy how easily accessible the highway is; drivers need only turn south and follow Spadina a few minutes to reach an onramp to the Gardiner Expressway.
