About 74 Spadina Road — Seventy-Four Spadina
These may not be the flashiest downtown Toronto condos, but there’s no doubt that Seventy-Four Spadina offers tremendous options for an array of different home buyers. Recently renovated in 2004, 74 Spadina Rd offers functional suites whose wide open layouts are just waiting for your personal touches to make it into a homes of your own.
Seventy-Four Spadina is located in The Annex neighbourhood, which is close to everything you love about living in the big city. Unparalleled transit options are only a few steps away, and you’ll also enjoy close proximity to schools, restaurants, shopping and more.
Toronto condos for sale in this building are a perfect choice for the first time home buyer who’s looking for a larger unit. It doesn’t have any discernible amenities, but this only means that you won’t have to waste money on condo fees for facilities that you never intend on using. It’s also a great option for students or faculty of the University of Toronto because it’s only a short walk away.
The Suites
The condos at 74 Spadina Rd stand out from the other buildings in the city due to their characteristic colour and the structure’s Art Deco inspired design. It stands at 10 storeys, and it contains 43 Toronto condos. There aren’t many options in terms of bedroom layouts, with only one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom plus den floor plans, but the units are surprisingly large. They range from 798 to 1,711 square feet.
One of the best features of these condos is the expansive balconies. They’re much larger than many of the terraces in buildings being constructed today, being between 20 to 40 feet in length. They ensure that you’ll always have enough outdoor space on those beautiful days. You’ll also love the high ceilings and the charming parquet floors that give the units a lot of character.
The Neighbourhood
Seventy-Four Spadina is part of the Annex neighbourhood, which has seen a major transformation in recent years. The neighbourhood stays true to its name by not only being a major intersection in the city’s transit system, but also because it’s surrounded by some of Toronto’s most recognizable districts. If you live here, Yorkville, Kensington Market, and the heart of downtown are all within reach.
These condos could be a great fit for students and faculty because of the nearby schools. U of T is the largest university in Canada, and it’s only a few blocks south of here. You’re also handy to the George Brown Casa Loma campus, so there are plenty of options.
As the George Brown campus would suggest, you’re only a short walk away from Casa Loma too. This world renowned castle adds a distinct character to the landscape — especially with the CN Tower on the opposing side of the Spadina corridor.
Queen’s Park is also handy to Seventy-Four Spadina. The Ontario Legislative Building is located here, but it’s also a beautiful park. It’s the perfect place for a stroll, or maybe you can score a nice bench to read a book.
Transportation
This is one of the best places in the city if you’re a public transit user due to the proximity to Spadina Station, which is one of the very few transfer stations in the city. From here, you can hop onto Line 1 Yonge-University to reach the Financial District and the rest of downtown Toronto, or you can go north toward Vaughan or North York. You can also take Line 2 Bloor-Danforth to travel to different downtown locations along Bloor Street, as well as the GTA districts of Etobicoke and Scarborough.
Driving’s easy from 74 Spadina Rd too because of your proximity to the intersection of Spadina and Bloor. This intersection effectively creates a perfect compass that always lets you know how to get around the city. If you’re looking for the Ontario Highway 401, all you need to do is go up Bathurst St until you hit Eglinton where you’ll transfer onto Allen Road. You’re going to have no trouble getting around the GTA when you live at Seventy-Four Spadina.
