Buying a home in The Kingsway

Living in this neighbourhood comes with some incredible benefits — looking down your nose at people who live in neighbourhoods with bad names might be the best one; take that Downsview. If you need some prestige in your life, condos for sale in The Kingsway are right up your alley.

The Kingsway is located in Etobicoke, just west of the Don River. Unlike many neighbourhoods which have lofty names but underwhelming houses, The Kingsway lives up to its title — on residential streets lined with mature trees you’ll find large 2 storey houses, some of which could be called mansions.

With Bloor as its southern border and Dundas to the north, residents have a nice selection of restaurants and cafes — and a few cozy watering holes sprinkled in. There’s Kingsway Theatre for movie nights, and a variety of athletic centres, hiking trails, and sports fields to keep children entertained.

    Condo Life in The Kingsway

Condos for sale in The Kingsway come at a variety of price points, but are generally pricey. Buildings such as The Regency Condos present an opportunity to get into the neighbourhood without breaking the bank — more luxurious properties fetch a pretty penny; if you’ve ever seen a cartoon character get turned upside down and shaken until the money falls out of their pockets… the buying process will be similar to that.

Most buildings in the area offer very appealing amenities, and incredibly generous floor plans. Condos for sale in The Kingsway can be found in exclusive buildings; Old Mill Terrace Residences for example has only 20 units, and buildings that exclusive often have waiting lists.

    Transportation

Parts of this neighbourhood are pedestrian friendly — but while the scenery is beautiful, more residential areas aren’t particularly walkable. Residents have great access to public transit, with bus routes on major roads and Royal York Station on Bloor for subway lines. Car owners can reach the 427 in minutes by heading west on Bloor.
