    Buying a home in Rustic

If your idea of rustic is being banded by 2 highways, then you’ll feel at home in this North York neighbourhood. The neighbourhood of Rustic might be not as homely as it sounds, but it does have winding residential streets with an older feel — lack of sidewalks in residential areas gives parts of the neighbourhood a country feel.

Residents will find the usual conveniences on Jane Street and Lawrence Ave W — because a neighbourhood can’t exist without a McDonald’s or Tim Horton’s. There are schools at varying academic levels, green spaces, and Falstaff Community Centre has youth programs; ideal for families who are interested in condos for sale in Rustic.

There are very few businesses in the area beyond a salon and a car wash, and residents will certainly need to venture outside of their neighbourhood to run errands; fortunately, North York Sheridan Mall is just west of Rustic.

    Condo Life in Rustic

As it stands, 1881 Jane Street Condos is the only condo residence in the neighbourhood; built in the late 70s, this property offers spacious floor plans and relaxing amenities — it has a pool and sauna — although finishes could be dated. Condos for sale in Rustic can go for a third of the price of units in downtown Toronto, making this a great location for buyers on a budget.

    Transportation

Nobody moves to rustic for walkability — and you shouldn’t either, because you’ll definitely need a vehicle or public transit to get around. Most of the neighbourhood has easy access to bus routes, but you won’t find subway line or GO Transit. Drivers have a great place to start their morning commute, with the 401 on the northern boundary of the neighbourhood and the 404 on the west.
