    Where St. Clair and Victoria Park Avenue intersect, there once stood the village of Moffat’s Corner, which functioned as an independent rural community until 1873 when the village joined Scarborough Junction. In present day, this neighbourhood is a middle class suburb, with a variety of detached homes, townhouses, apartments — plus, some Clairlea and Golden Mile condos.

    There are a few major intersections in the neighbourhood — St. Clair and Victoria Park, Eglinton and Victoria Park, and Eglinton and Warden. Golden Mile makes up the northern portion of the neighbourhood, and is host to the Eglinton Town Centre; offering a range of stores for fashion, technology, and home décor. You’ll also find family-friendly restaurants like East Side Mario's, Five Guys, and Wendy's.

    Most businesses in the area are located on Eglinton — here you’ll encounter car dealerships, specialty shops, and corporate offices. There are several schools in the area, as well as recreation centres, and libraries; which makes Clairlea and Golden Mile condos perfect for families.

    Nature lovers are sure to appreciate this neighbourhood, as Clairlea is bounded by green spaces to the south, and is also the location Massey Creek — where walkers will find the Gus Harris Trail.

    Condo Life in Clairlea | Golden Mile

    Clairlea and Golden Mile condos are known for being highly coveted, but they do have a lot to offer, and with a mix of townhome complexes, high-rises, and mid-rise condos, there’s something to suit every taste.

    Toronto condos in this neighbourhood provide first time home-buyers with a great opportunity to break into the market — units here have excellent value, and are well below the price per square foot of downtown condos. Additionally, floor plans are much larger, which is great for couples or roommates.

    Townhomes don’t generally offer much in the way of extras, and the same is true in this neighbourhood; even modern high-rises like the 22-storey 2150 Condos feature modest amenities. However, buyers can still expect to find a gym on-site in most condo buildings.

    The majority of Clairlea and Golden Miles condos are situated near the intersection of Warden and St. Claire, affording residents with a central location.

    Transportation

    This neighbourhood is walkable, especially for those located near major intersections or around Eglinton Avenue.

    For any errands that can’t be completed on foot, there’s great public transit in the area; bus routes intersect on all major roadways, allowing for fast travel to anywhere within the community. If you need to go a little further, Warden Station - Eastbound Platform is in the middle of the neighbourhood for subway lines.

    Drivers can get downtown quickly by heading west on Eglinton for the Don Valley Parkway.
