Located in North York — just south of the 401 — Nortown is a neighbourhood that balances quiet residential streets with busy thoroughfares. The majority of residents live in large 2-storey houses, bungalows, or Nortown condos; for those on a tight budget, Nortown condos are a great option, as buildings like Ridley Boulevard II Condos, have spacious suites that are well below the prices of comparable units in downtown Toronto.
With major thoroughfares in the neighbourhood such as Yonge, Bathurst and Avenue Rd — residents have an abundance of restaurants, pubs, and cafes nearby. Beyond dining and nightlife, there are a number of boutiques in the area, and big box stores just west of the neighbourhood.
Nortown is well-serviced by bus routes and streetcar lines, and for longer trips, York Mills is on the eastern boundary for subway lines. Residents have plenty of service based businesses in the neighbourhood — salons, cleaners, financial institutions — to making it easy to run errands; those who live in Nortown condos can likely accomplish all of their errands on foot.
