Buying a home in Trinity Bellwoods

If you’re looking for a family neighbourhood where the parents are as trendy as the bars, and tucking a plaid shirt into a pair of jeans is considered a crime against humanity — then welcome to Trinity Bellwoods.

Nestled between Little Italy and Queen West — Trinity Bellwoods is among the most desirable neighbourhoods in the GTA for young families. The neighbourhood is named after Trinity Bellwoods Park, which serves as a gathering place for picnics and recreation activities, and is host to tennis courts, a dog park, an outdoor skating rink, and much more.

With major thoroughfares on four sides — Queen, Dovercourt, College, and Bathurst — residents have an abundance of convenience nearby; there are great upscale restaurants such as Terroni, casual eateries like Frankie's Diner, well known late night hangouts like Sneaky Dee's, and a wide array of cozy cafes.

Trinity Bellwoods condos for sale are ideal for growing families — there are a number of schools in the public and Catholic boards, playgrounds, and community centres. And for adults, microbreweries are plentiful, including the very popular Bellwoods Brewery. As well, there are theatres like Lower Ossington Theatre, Mod Club Theatre for concerts, and an assortment of lively bars.

    Condo Life in Trinity Bellwoods

There are at least 15 buildings in Trinity Bellwoods, and at face value you might assume that there’s a lot of choice, but in reality, most condos for sale in Trinity Bellwoods are found in loft residences and have high price tags; some of these properties are extremely exclusive, such as Euclid Lofts which has only 5 units, all of which are over 1400 square feet.

If you love hard loft conversions, condos for sale in Trinity Bellwoods will be very appealing; you have one of the most desirable buildings within this neighbourhood — The Argyle Lofts— while nobody would describe these lofts as affordably priced, 1 bedroom units here are more reasonable than those found in neighbouring residences.

For those who aren’t looking for lofts, 109OZ and Nero. are mid-rise buildings with modern condo floor plans. One possible drawback to condos for sale in Trinity Bellwoods is that amenities are often modest, so you wont get all the flashy extras that come with modern high-rises.

    Transportation

Trinity Bellwoods is a walker’s neighbourhood, making this an excellent choice for residents who prefer to run errands on foot. Public transit options in the neighbourhood could be described as an embarrassment of riches, with streetcars on Queen, Dundas, and College, and multiple bus routes connecting to subway stations.

Drivability isn’t this neighbourhoods’ strong suit, but car owners can reach the nearest highways by heading west on Dundas St and then south on Parkside Dr for the Gardiner Expressway.
