Renting a home in Trinity Bellwoods

For anyone who’s ever been to Trinity Bellwoods Park on a sunny, Saturday afternoon — we don’t need to tell you that this area is desirable; the sheer number of 20 and 30 year-old humans sprawled out on the grass is evidence of that. But there’s much more appeal to this neighbourhood than just sunny picnics in the park, and it begins with the location.

Trinity Bellwoods is situated in downtown Toronto, right next door to trendy Queen West — in fact, Queen Street is actually the southern boundary for this neighbourhood, which places some of the best boutique shopping in the city just minutes away; it also means that incredible cafes like White Squirrel Coffee Shop and Sam James Coffee Bar PARK, are within walking distance.

Dining options are extensive; you can check out great bistros like Union, get takeout at Bobbie Sue's Mac + Cheese — which is as good as it sounds — and enjoy the atmosphere in acclaimed restaurants like Terroni. Nightlife is equally impressive, with Queen Street bars to the south, a vast selection on Dundas Street W to the north, and of course, Bellwoods Brewery for craft beer.

Condos for rent in Trinity Bellwoods are quite popular with young families — there’s an abundance of service based businesses scattered throughout the area, from cleaners to salons to storage facilities and more. There are fitness centres and athletic clubs nearby like Academy of Lions, as well as schools and playgrounds for young children.

    Condo Life in Trinity Bellwoods

The title ‘Loft Life’ might have been more fitting in this case, as that’s mostly what you’ll find here; some of the best loft conversions in the city are situated in Trinity Bellwoods, including the highly desirable brick and beam lofts at The Argyle Lofts, and the massive and luxurious suites at Euclid Lofts. Plus, there are contemporary soft loft residences such as Abacus Lofts.

Condos for rent in Trinity Bellwood often come with high costs — Claremont Hall Lofts is one of the most expensive buildings in west end Toronto, and while there are more affordable options, this isn’t a great area for renters on a tight budget.

Families who are condo hunting here might be drawn to the townhouses at Motif Lofts and Towns, which can have very generous floor plans… the cost of rent on the hand, will make you feel like the generous one.

    Transportation

Walking is one of the best ways to get around here — should you need public transit, there are streetcars on Dundas and Queen that connect to subway stations, and buses on Ossington and Bathurst.

Driver’s can avoid city traffic by going south on Strachan for the Gardiner Expressway.
